How do I change a Team’s availability status? 

There are two ways to set the Team availability status on the the Team profile page. By default, the Team is always shown as Available at the top of its profile.

Method 1 – Set Team hours of operation

NOTE: this method can also be used to set Team hours of operation for Concierge Bots. Learn more here.

  1. Go to Organizations → Teams and select your Team.

  2. Select  (Additional Settings) on the left navigation bar of the Org Teams modal.
  3. Fill out the following fields:
    • Time Zone: select your time zone from the drop-down or search for it in the form [Country/City]
    • Availability Periods: times when your team is active, formatted as
      • M-F:9-17
      • M,W:9-17
      • M,W:9-17; T,TH,FR:9-19
      • M-F:9-17; Sa-Su:9-14
    • Unavailable Summary: (optional) type the phrase that will appear on the Team availability status outside Team hours of operation. If you leave this field blank, the text from the Availability Periods field will be displayed instead.
  4. Hit Save. The text from the Availability Periods or Unavailable Summary field will now be visible on the Team Profile (Profile button) outside Team hours of operation. Reload the Team profile page for the changes to take effect.

Method 2 – Set an Out-of-Office Status in the Team Profile

NOTE: this method will also change Team availability for Concierge Bots. Learn more here.

  1. Go to Organizations → Teams and select your Team.

  2. Select Profile button (Profile) on the left navigation bar of the Org Teams modal.
  3. Click on the blue availability status in the top right corner of the Org Teams modal to open the Out-of-Office window.

  1. Fill out the following fields:
    • Unavailable / Out-of-Office: select Yes.
    • Return Date: select the return date from the calendar or type it in the format YYYY-MM-DD. By default, the return time will be then set as 00:00:00.0000, but you can edit that as well.
    • Summary/Reason: type the reason your Team is unavailable. This text will be displayed in the blue availability status in the top right corner of the Org Teams modal. By default, the Summary/Reason is “Unavailable until [MM/DD/YYYY], [HH:MM:SS].”
  2. Hit Save & Exit. Reload the Team profile page for the changes to take effect.
